For the first time, DIVERSIFY welcomes two guests to the podcast! Libby Welsh and Jack Silver  joined us to talk about the D/deaf community, how ableism (discrimination in favour of able-bodied people) affects every aspect of life and why it’s important we all become aware of it.

Libby Welsh is a dancer and actress who is part of the D/deaf community. Jack Silver is a writer and theatre director. He’s also our first straight white man guest. Well, we guess it had to happen eventually…

A big thanks to Tramp theatre company for sponsoring the transcription.

If you enjoyed the episode, make sure to rate and subscribe on whatever podcast platform (*cough* apple podcasts *cough*) you use and you’ll be the first to get new episodes every week (as well as bonus content and related articles on this very site!).

We’re a tiny little company (one editor and a couple of contributors) so word of mouth is super important! Follow the podcast on Twitter and Instagram, drop us an email at ourteamq@gmail.com and if you’re interested in the other work we do on this site, why not follow TheQ too!?
