We’ll admit, we’re big musical theatre fans here. There was a time when a song from a musical would easily do well in the charts and we feel that trend returning!

“Hamilton” by the genius Lin-Manuel Miranda took the theatre world by storm when it hit New York in 2016. With super-smart lyrics and an eclectic mix of musical styles, the unexpected smash hit told the story of founding father Alexander Hamilton. It was the story of America then, told by America now.

It took AGES to decide which song to include and we implore you to check out the others further down this post, but we went with “My Shot” because celebrates being a work-in progress and inspires us all to grab every opportunity to make a change.
